Case Studies
A large union with more than half a million members process multiple large class-action lawsuits per year on behalf of their members. They spend enormous amounts of money on lawyers who process the data they collect from their members, spend hours on the phone to members chasing up information and have multiple employees working full time on these campaigns.
"We are collecting claims information from our members on paper forms, our data is a mess and we end up having to chase members up repeatedly to check information and fill in blanks"
An online form was designed to maximise information collection from members while minimising errors and formatting issues. The form was editable as the union required more data points as the campaign progressed. This form was plugged into a database so entries automatically appeared in a user-friendly interface.
"We struggle to efficiently track our campaigns, as key information—such as the number of claimants, their regions and occupations, and the status of cases forwarded to lawyers—is scattered across multiple sources."
We built an accessible database which cleaned and arranged the incoming data from the forms into useful, readable views. Union staff could access information and edit entries with ease, communicating with other staff members about particular claims in an interactive notes section to keep on top of tasks. A graphical interface was built on top of this database, which visualised all useful summary data points from the campaign to allow for quick reference and updates for meetings.
"We want to keep members updated on the progress of their claim, but this takes a lot of time as we are sending group emails manually"
We hooked the database up to a Union email and built in buttons and automations which sent automatic emails to members when their claim reached different stages of the process.
